About Us...
We are the firefighters of Skegness Fire station. We are one of 38 stations that make up Lincolnshire Fire & Rescue service.
Skegness Fire Station is a 'day crewed' station, we work a 4 days on, 4 days off shift system. The station is crewed between the hours of 08:00 and 17:30. We then respond to any further fire calls between the hours of 17.30 and 08.00 by a pocket alerter.
The cover is split between 2 watches (Blue watch and Green watch), and is supported by a complement of firefighters working the Retained duty system.
The station attends around 700 calls per year.
